Alexine and Simon

By Andrea Humphrey
This book continues from 'Alexine.' It covers topics such as abortion, terminal illness and various troubles the family has to face. It is a difficult time for Alexine as she discovers parenhood is not all easy going. The main issue however seems to be the age gap between Alexine and Simon and the fact that they have twelve children. Eleanor the eldest finds life difficult because she hates sharing her parents with her siblings and is very strong willed demanding her own way at all times. this has a disaterous affect on the youngest children who feel as if they are not wanted.
