Beyond the Barracks

Set in India, it is a story of a struggled childhood. Zabeer is enrolled in the Indian army hostel to fulfill his father's dream - to become an officer. In the hostel, he experiences the dark inner realities and the intricacies of military life which compels him to hate the army and so he subsequently loses his dream. As a teenager, he becomes an orphan, and at the same time he is greatly influenced by Hitler. He sets himself on a route to struggle and to go ahead in life. But there is an unspeakable sin in his heart which haunts him and alters his destiny; his entire struggle is in vain because he betrays his father and eventually opts for renunciation.
