CAPTAIN ANGEL is a fictional account of how the town of La Ciotat survived the plague of 1720. In those lawless days, La Coitat, near to the port of Marseille on the Mediterranean coast of France was also home to a motley collection of pirates, led by Captain Angel. His ship, 'La Fleur de Ciotat' was the fastest and best armed ship afloat. This story tell of how the town was saved by Captain Angel with more than a little help from a boy named Simon and his sister Julia.
