Nightsoil

Nightsoil is a black comedy dealing with a subject that our liberated and civilised society still has difficulty addressing; human excreta. In the city it is a simple matter of flushing the loo; in the country it is more complicated. A septic tank plays a central role in a series of mishaps that combine to leave the hero, Charlie Bourne, naked as he stumbles from disaster to catastrophe. Bourne is the catalyst for a series of misunderstandings which culminate in shootings, murder and the eventual destruction of half the village.
