Spud Murphy is a sleazy private eye scratching a living from divorce case and security work. Then young woman employs him to investigate the suicide of her sister.Easy money Spud is thinking, but what he suspects is an open and shut case develops into an investigation into political corruption and a police up. Ex policeman spud then has to employ the services of a struck off forensic expert, a young computer hacker and even a Soho sex club madam. His quest takes him from the seat of government to an illegal travellers site but a grudge against authority spurs him on.
