We need a Revolution
Gary Newson lives a boring and hard life. England is now just a region of Europe under military rule. Over-population means food is short, poverty is rife and disease common. People are arrested by the military if suspected of being anti establishment so everyone suspects others of being possible informants. They also suspect others of being part of the underground revolution. Nobody speaks about their true political views.
Gary has a job and a family so just gets on with it but a mid-life crisis starts him questioning everything and getting embroiled in a secret plot involving some lists that both military and revolutionaries want. Both believe they might spark a revolution. Gary and his wife split up and he turns to drink and his life hits a downward spiral. Arrest, torture and imprisonment follow but Gary has a recurring dream that he struggles to understand.
Meanwhile, whilst an assassin works for the revolutionaries we have the public’s favourite television show ‘Teamball’ pitting family against family in a sometimes fatal battle, but it offers the prize of a lifetime.
