D.I. Baxter Morgan debuts as a high-flying officer who is tasked with apprehending an elusive murder suspect.
Set in the near future; the accused, everyday citizen James Lithgow has a sudden memory loss and without an alibi is starting to question his sanity.
Lithgow’s DNA has been found at a crime scene in London with enough high quality samples as to be classed as a “Silver Bullet” case. His guilt is readily assumed.
Until now, James Lithgow does not have a criminal record but his DNA has been netted by the Government’s expanded DNA database (NDNAD).
Upon arrest though, the astute Lithgow is not so obliging. He realizes the Silver Bullet’s odds, a one in a billion chance of another person matching his DNA will ultimately seal his fate.
D.I. Baxter Morgan faces a battle of wills against Lithgow.
One man is concerned with preserving his freedom, while the other attempts to redeem himself…
