Gwendolyn Cahill, was born in New York City and raised in Mount Vernon, NY. Her professional career includes employment as a caseworker, realtor and community service worker. She is a volunteer at the Virginia Repertory and enjoys music and art. Cahill has sung in a number of gospel choirs in New York, Newark and Virginia. She graduated from the University of Hartford in 1980 and received a M.S. in Communication Studies from the College of New Rochelle in 2012. Cahill has received awards and recognition for poetry and has been featured in newspapers, magazines and television. Cahill is a charter member of Lambda Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She currently resides in Virginia.
