A Fife Childhood 1913 - 1927

A duck dressed in baby clothes, a horse dying on the tattie-howking, a soldier coming home from WW1, an aircraft crash-landing on the sweetshop, a boy birched for poaching rabbits, dreaded schooldays at Bell Baxter, life below stairs in the big house, haughty ladies of the hunt... Terry Telford´s father was butler to the Laird at Teasses House near Ceres, Fife. Terry´s collected memoirs depict a childhood in rural East Fife a century ago.
