A Picture of Innocence
When fifteen year old German music student, Julie Scholl, flees Warsaw at the begining of World War Two, taking refuge in the former German city of Poznan, she little expects to encounter the callous brutality of the New Order at the hands of her own countrymen hen the city is 'liberated'. Haunted by the fate of teenage German orphans under the control of the SS, and her own imprisonment, it only remains for her to survive the war and bear witness. But even as the conflict ends, new spectres arise from the internment camps of Germany which threaten to rob her of justice and the man she loves. Based on a true story...
