A Pocketful of Ticketsaa

A diary of Marjorie Kirke's five week solo journey around the coast of Britain. The first recorded person to have done so by public transport. She travelled by ninety one ordinary public buses, six trains and two ferries. During her travels she stayed in Youth Hostels, often with amazing histories, and B & B's offering more comfortable facilities. Her journey took her through, and past, beautiful and historic places when she met and conversed with a medley of people. Some of the conversations, often hilarious, overheard on buses are as memorable as they are unbelievable.
