Death Awaits Her

DI Helen Cooke is a Senior Investigating Officer of the Serious Crime team based in a small market town is well established as a competent detective. But twelve years earlier this wasn’t the case. She was a ‘rooky’ Detective Constable handling her second murder case under the watchful and domineering DI Hardman – an old school police officer who didn’t approve of women joining the police service. Helen, found Hardman difficult to work with, but was determined to show her grumpy senior officer she was worthy of a place in his team. Nothing goes to plan for Helen as she’s thwarted at every turn of the investigation by her inexperience and unsupportive mentor. Strong-willed and reckless, Helen puts her new career as a detective in jeopardy.
