ERECOT

Imagine what would happen when a London crime syndicate leader, an Arabic Crown Prince, his wily minister and an ambitious British MP all want the same priceless, but cursed, object for very different reasons, but none of them knows where it is. Set in Haranistan, an oil-rich kingdom situated on an island in the middle of the Red Sea, and moving between there, London and Norway, ERECOT takes you on a journey that starts in 1996 with the abduction of a sixteen-year-old-girl from Luton. She is forced to become a concubine in the harem of the Crown Prince of Haranistan. It follows the fortunes of both, as the prince tackles the problems of his country. He attempts to use the legend of the ERECOT to save it from financial ruin before its oil runs out. On the way he has to deal with the constraining edicts of his father, lock horns with the head of the London crime syndicate and cope with the manoeuvres of the manipulative MP. Inspector Sven Ffolkes, a Norwegian detective with a unique grasp of the British way, gets involved when a headless body is washed up on a beach in the Lofoten Islands. Although he has to solve multiple murders along the way, the main mystery for him to unravel is about the ERECOT itself.
