Extracts from an Unwritten Diary

In the midst of the swinging sixties I, 19 year-old Maria Forrester, have a moment of madness that briefly takes me away from my boring Victorian-principled life, before being unceremoniously thrown back into the boredom. Then I am told I will have three husbands. Shock, horror! More moments of madness become my life as I stumble from one relationship to another. Finally, after years of searching, if I can stop myself from completely sabotaging the relationship, I may have found the man of my dreams.
