Hashferay Prison: Memories of a Prisoner

Hashferay Prison is one of the most ill-reputed prisoners in the State of Eritrea. It was setup by the notorious Brig.General Tekle Manjus, ex-head of Command 1. It hosts around 1000 prisoners of aged between 10-90, pregnant women, mothers with infants, disabled, HIV positive and every other person you can think of. This is a memoir of the year I spent in the prison and the inhumane treatment of prisoners in Hashferay as I saw.
