Laura and Mia were devastated when their sister Bonnie tragically died of cancer. As the enormity of their loss was beginning to sink in, the sisters were shocked to find that she was still with them. Bonnie had always been so full of life. She was not ready to die and refused to cross over. Instead she remained trapped somewhere between Heaven and Earth. Bonnie had become pregnant three years previously. She kept the father of her beloved son a secret; a matter that had always upset her sisters, and upon her untimely death became something that she had to remedy. Max was needed! His son desperately needed a father. She had to ensure that Max became involved in his son's life. While she is still in between places Bonnie meets her spirit guide Rob. Entrusted to assist Bonnie with her transition, Rob insists that she faces the fact that it is time to move on. Despite this Bonnie begs for more time. Rob reluctantly allows her more time to spend with her son and sisters, but her time is limited.
