The Last Cowboy

During the Great Depression, the US government created the Federal Writer's Project. Writers traveled around the country recording oral histories from anyone willing to tell their story. Cal Fisher met a writer, Dorothy, and agreed to tell her his story. Cal's story begins at the end of the Civil War and continues though part of the Great Depression. Cal tells Dorothy about losing his parents in an Indian raid, his travels around the country, and meeting and losing the love of his life.
