The Love of George
Colin, like his luminary, George Orwell seeks a world where justice, equality and opportunity for all is reflected in its societies. How each of us attempts to achieve both our own personal goals while attempting to improve our world is at the core of this novel. During the height of the Miners’ Strike Colin’s attempt to support these working-class communities goes seriously wrong with consequences that change his life forever. However, through his own strength and idealism, and with the support and love of others, he persists in his endeavour. In a world where ideology and the prospect of a better world has disappeared this novel seeks to show the importance of everyone having a vision of a better, fairer future.
“This is a superbly crafted, complex anti-establishment discourse, which is essential reading for any intelligent reader” “A satisfying and challenging read” Iris Gioia – Author of Brief Spring
