The Shield of Reza Khan
In this second of a trilogy, Jonathan Good heads an intelligence mission tasked with corroborating evidence that Russia intends to violate its treaty with Great Britain and annexe the whole of Persia and invade India, deposing British rule. In 1911, Persia is a country suffering from oppression and chaos. There is civil rebellion, a decadent royalty and a crippling subservience to Stalingrad. Jonathan and his men travel through hostile territory of desert and mountains, peopled by lawless tribes, facing constant life threatening dangers. In this adventure he also renews acquaintence with his sworn enemy, Sir Rupert Hadleigh, and Justine,a woman he still deeply loves.
