Profile: Gee Vero

About This Author

Gee Vero was born 1971 in what was then East Germany. She studied English and American history and literature at the University of Leipzig before moving to London, England. Diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2009 she started working with and for autistic people. It is her autistic son who motivates her to go out and break down barriers and raise autism awareness in the hope that one day there will be autism acceptance. Gee Vero is an artist and writer who also works as an autism consultant and speaker. In 2010 she set up the art project The Art of Inclusion to raise autism awareness. For this project she invites people from all walks of live to complete the half face drawing she sends them. There have been many exhibitions all over Germany. She also exhibits her own work and publishes poetry in both, German and English. Gee Vero now lives in Germany with her partner and three children.
