Born into a family of booklovers, on the opposite side of the Mersey to the city that at the time was just beginning to dance to the music of the Beatles I don't remember a time when I didn't live and breathe literature. As a little girl I dressed up in my grandmother's evening dresses and acted out my favourite stories or made up my own, in between reading voraciously. I read War and Peace at 12 and fell in love with history around the same time. Books and history have been two of the great loves of my life. I began writing seriously about twenty years ago and I'm thrilled that my novel A Spundless Cry is about to be published by FeedARead. I live in the south west of England with my husband and close to my daughter and son-in-law. Aside from writing and reading I love cinema and theatre, music and cross-stich. As a day job I work in Adult Education helping others to discover the pleasure of exploring new worlds and experiences through learning.
