About This Author

I studied modern history at Oxford, produced documentary films for the BBC and used the experience of producing ‘The Wartime Kitchen & Garden’, a series about the Home Front, as a background for ‘Lily at War’. Since retiring I have devoted myself to writing, including a number of short stories, historical talks, a play about soldiers of the First World War and co-authorship of a book on the history of my local church. I am currently adapting 'Pilgrim's Progress' for the stage. This is my first novel.
