Beverley Spencer was born in Manchester in 1945 and has lived in West Didsbury for many years. She went to Loreto Convent School before studying Art. Her first job was as the glamorous Chuck-a-Luck girl in a casino. When she met her future husband, she left Manchester to travel the world with him. She eventually returned home to open Stella’s Wedding Dresses on Burton Road. After many years running her business, she retired in 2014.
