Had a life saving 'emergency' (like there's another kind) liver transplant at the age of 26 after a very short (none alcoholic) related illness. 2 wonderful sporty bright kids who I try to support in their endeavours and studies from my first (and only) marriage. Atheist. Common sense middle of the road political views. Cyclist by profession and Chartered Surveyor by hobby - or is it the other way round? Level 2 British Cycling Coach, studying for Level 3. Photographer when time and inclination allows - wholey unburdend by talent however. Honoured to be captain and coach of the GB Transplant Games Cycling Team, representing GB on 6 occassions in Hungary 1999, Japan 2001, France 2003, Thailand 2007, Australia 2009 and most recently Sweden 2011. What I would loosely call 'palmares' are 10 x Bristish Tx Games Road Race winner 4 x British Tx Games Time trial winner European Tx Games Time Trial and Road Race winner 2010 4 x World Tx Games Road Race winner 3 x World Tx Games Time Trial Winner SSSCCRRL Vets winner 2009. Currently holding all 6 (British, European and World) road race and time trial titles all the same time. Fastest transplant cyclist in the world.
