Terence Dillon has led a successful life in education as a headmaster, one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Schools, and as an international educational consultant. He has provided advice on school inspection in Romania, South Africa, Montenegro and Trinidad and Tobago. he is a keen sportsman and has coached both rugby and rowing, the latter to international level. He was born in Yorkshire, the son of a coalminer. He now lives in the Cotswolds, where he is a governor of the local Catholic primary school, St Catharine’s. His other books include, ‘Light Me A Candle,’ ‘The King’s Beacon,’ ‘Quarry Lane,’ ‘A Long Way Home’, ‘Deceit’, ‘Jack and the Civil War in Chipping Campden’ and 'Aurora, Me and South Africa'.
