About This Author

When I was 12, a friend asked, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” “I want to be a writer,” I said. Adding, but not right away, “When I’ve grown up and got something to write about”. A full life spent with an observing eye and some sympathy with human foibles did lead me to become a freelance writer. Amongst other things I wrote for school magazines and for radio, penned features published in newspapers and magazines, and created scripts for film and videos. However family commitments and cheques that took too long to come, took me in other directions. Later, to my delight, I took a course in short story writing and found that it suited my style.
