Profile: Carole Burton

About This Author

Carole was born in Handsworth, Birmingham where many of her forbears worked in the Jewellery Quarter. At the age of ten she moved out to the Solihull area where she still lives. She was educated at Solihull High School for Girls and worked for many years in public libraries which fostered her love of books, writing and the arts in general. She has had poetry, short stories and illustrations published but The Golden Apple is her first novel to appear in print. She is the sister of novelist Helen Burton.
