Clarence St.Hilaire received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Marketing with a minor in Economics from Bernard M. Baruch College of The City University of New York, followed by a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University. He also graduated from medical school in September 2017. His area of research includes preventive medicine, gastroenterology, gynecology, diaspora, conflict and ethnic studies, symbolic interactionism, and democracy.
The author has published his first poetry book Coeurs D’extase (Hearts of Ecstasy) in 2004, and participated at the Miami Book Fair International, 2004. His second poetry book Emotional Stem Cells was published by Feedaread.com in 2014.
He has written two book reviews for the Journal of Ethnic and Racial Studies, Department of Sociology, University of Surrey, United Kingdom. Philippe Zacaïr’s book: Haiti and the Haitian Diaspora in the Wider Caribbean, and Bertin M. Louis Jr.'s book: My Soul is in Haiti:Protestantism in the Haitian diaspora of the Bahamas. He has written many peer-reviewed articles,and is embarking on a journey to publish a forthcoming sociological memoir.
He has taught Introduction to Dispute Resolution (ADRB 2000.Undergraduate level) Winter 2006, as a teacher-assistant for CARD 7510 Teaching and Training Practicum(Graduate School of Humanities & Social Sciences) at Nova Southeastern University Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He also served as a college recruiter and enrollment representative for two major institutions.The author is working towards the completion of his Ph.D in Health Sciences at Trident University International.
