Elliot Stone is a Brit living in the south of France for the last thirty years or so;like many, he is getting older. Spocadoc joyeux is his first attempt at writing fiction, published just after hi 93rd birthday.The book is short, funny, in french,and, like the author,not at all politically correct. Elliot has adopted the roman gladiators' motto; "Eat, drink, and be merry, for to-morrow we die.",which may explain why he moved to France from the U.K. so many years ago.
