Profile: Margaret Whittock

About This Author

Margaret Whittock has lived and worked all over the world and used her experiences to inform much of her writing. To date she has published three novels. The first, Ghost of Gallipoli, was inspired by the chance discovery of her great-uncles’ headstones at V Beach Cemetery in Gallipoli, Turkey. A second novel, the thriller, Blood Sisters, is available as an ebook on Amazon, while Margaret's third book, Unintentional Dismount … her first venture into writing for young adults … is now available as an ebook and shortly in paperback. Margaret is now working on the follow-up to Ghost of Gallipoli, Billy Blitz. Together with the forthcoming The Tigers Come At Night, these novels will form The Callaghan Trilogy, one family’s experience of conflict in the twentieth century. As a sociologist, the author's work has been published in academic journals, texts, newspapers and magazines. Her PhD, Feminising the Masculine: Women in Non-Traditional Employment, has been published in hard back. Margaret now lives and works in London.
