I have been trying to figure out what my purpose is here on earth as many people do. I thought maybe I would just exist until I figured out what I was passionate about. It wasn't until my mom became terminally ill that I began writing. The first book I wrote was based on a story she told me. I promised her I would incorporate her story regarding an eerie and spooky tale of a haunted house in my hometown. It wasn't until I put my first words down on paper that I realized writing was my passion. I haven't stopped since my mom passed and I use local legends to feed my need to solve or explain the "could haves" when it comes to the myths many people have wondered about. Now that I have completed two novels, The Martin House and Sandy Creek, I want to expand my abilities. I have a new book, The Dozier School for Boys that is based on actual events but the story has my own twist. The story deals with reform school which is now closed and it was notorious for its abuse on those who went there. Now that the story is getting national news I figured it would be the best time to release my story. Publishers say it was too graphic and to tone it down. But that is what makes me different. I am different. I won't take out the actual events and sugar coat the story to make a quick buck. I want the story told as if I were having a conversation with my readers. I want them to hear my voice as they read the information I have compiled into my stories. I have adapted it to screenplay and I am driven to get it on the big screen.. One Day... For my parents. That is why I won't stop. Until I get to the peak of this mountain that I am steadily climbing, I will not stop. I am the Myth Writer.
