I’m Mark, author of the Creatures of Flyn fantasy series, set in a world where the secrets of life itself are thinly veiled. My stories draw inspiration from history, folklore and the natural world. As an archaeologist, I’m fascinated by the legends we attach to half-forgotten people, places and treasures. As a nature-lover, I’m amazed by the endless creativity of life on earth. And of course, I’m also a total bookworm: my favourite authors include JRR Tolkien, Patrick O'Brian, PG Wodehouse, Robin Jarvis and Brian Jacques.
