About This Author

I am a retired university lecturer, who lives in West Yorkshire, near Ilkley. Retirement gave me the time and energy to write and I have had four non-fiction books published by mainstream publishers (3 on education, and 1 on local history), plus two self-published non-fiction books (the novel, 'Millstone, and my collection of short stories, 'Damaged Goods'). I have also edited another collection of short stories, 'Child in Me', featuring the work of 11 writers, with an introduction by Gloria Hunniford, and with all profits going to the UK Grandparents' Association. My short story collection,'Damaged Goods', features four stories published by mainstream publishers, including 'Justice', first prize winner in a Writers' Forum competition, 2013, and 'Inversion', selected for inclusion in the 2017 Momaya Short Story Review. I also write for the online US lifestyle magazine, JAQUO, with over 50 articles published on art, book collecting, history - and Yorkshire food!
