About This Author
Simon Mapp is a Shropshire born writer, resident in North Wales, who has been writing for over thirty years - and has produced a wide range of material, from stage plays to short stories.
In 2012 his screenplay "A Snowflake Fell" reached the second round of the BBC Wales Drama Award. In March 2014 his short story "Minute" won the Global Short Story Award and his script "Changes" won the Simply Scripts One Week Challenge in January of that year.
His first self published ebook on the Kindle platform, a short screenplay entitled "End of Days" was published in November of that year and quickly followed by a collection of short stories written during the first half of 2014, entitled "Memories Lose Their Meaning".
His first paperback, a collection of short stories and scripts entitled "24 Stories" - was published in September 2015.
His work is noted for its melancholic tone.
Simon works as a college librarian and his other interests include art - he is an accomplished painter and photographer whose work has been exhibited
