Profile: M.E. Robinson Adamson

About This Author

M. E. Robinson (Adamson), a Texan in Brontë-land, holds a BA in History and a MA in Writing for Children. Her published research reflect her interests in history and literature (‘Mayer Halff: Pioneer Jewish Cattleman,’ Journal of the Big Bend Studies, Vol 22, 2010 and ‘The Legend of the Pied Piper in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries: Grimm, Browning, and Skurzynski,’ The Looking Glass: New Perspectives on Children’s Literature, Vol17, No1, 2013) and her creative writings include children’s picture books, poetry and allegorical fiction. Writing verse has been a pottering hobby of hers since childhood when she was encouraged by an honourable mention in a poetry contest. (A little encouragement in the life of a child can last a lifetime.) When she isn’t walking or picnicking on the Brontë moors with her husband, David, she may be found helping Riding for the Disabled Association (R.D.A.) or Skyping with her grandchildren.
