Profile: Harriet Redfern

About This Author

Harriet Redfern was born in the North of England but has spent most of her life living and working in London. Her longstanding passion for National Hunt racing was originally inspired by watching televised race meetings whilst doing the family ironing on winter Saturday afternoons. This entertaining distraction from the housework soon became a serious pastime as her children grew older, and included a brief, although rather unsuccessful, excursion into racehorse ownership. Harriet is also a qualified pilot and aircraft owner and can be found in the skies whenever the weather is good. Now retired from her career in the University world, Harriet lives and writes in Cheltenham.
