The compelling story of a fifteen year old Victorian orphan Annie Green has a beautiful soprano voice and longs to be a professional singer on the stage, but she has to take care of her younger sibling, Lizzie. Then Annie gets the chance to fulfill her dream but there is no room for Lizzie.
