From Under A Kurrajong Tree

Follow the life of Jack Jeffery, from his birth under a towering Kurrajong tree in country Victoria, to the hell of the Kokoda Track. From his early life as a young boy living with an alcoholic and abusive father, Jack grows up tough. He finds love in the arms of his childhood sweetheart Mary, a missionaries’ daughter. After running away from home, Jack becomes a Shearer and a tent boxer before joining the Australian Army to fight the Japanese on the Kokoda Track.
