Here's Looking at You
Is there life after death?
For grizzled veteran Detective Sergeant George Cooper, the answer was more relevant than he imagined, while chasing a murder suspect on the platform of Slough Railway station.
To say he went willingly would be incorrect, so determined was he to finish the case he was working on.
Once you’re dead, there’s no way back, apparently. He was permitted to find someone whose time was not yet up to finish the work for him.
That person is Annie Harper, a victim of a natural disaster that swept her family to their death, and almost killed her.
She is saved, but in the few moments she was under, George persuaded her to undertake his task.
Only she wants him to stay with her.
George wakes up to find he is sharing Annie’s body.
He can’t stay with her, but is permitted to become her guardian.
He also gives her a gift; a gift that is to prove a very valuable asset in her new life; the ability to read minds.
As a new recruit to the Metropolitan Police in London, Anna goes from strength to strength, with a little help from George!
