Kitty's Torment

Kitty Cartwright, in the early stages of her third pregnancy, embarks on a train journey to visit her childhood friend Connie. Struggling with two young children, a heavy suitcase and a pushchair, she gratefully accepts help from two soldiers travelling on the same train. During the journey one of the soldiers, Tom Watson, becomes smitten with the young family and Kitty finds herself confiding in him about her marriage to Ernie, a violent husband and an absent father who by choice works away from home. When the travellers discover that Tom lives within a couple of mile of Connie, he finds a reason to see Kitty again by inviting the children to visit him at the family farm. Within a short space of time Kitty and Tom are growing increasingly close and admit their feelings for each other when suddenly tragedy strikes. Kitty must return home immediately, their relationship it appears fated before it has had a chance to blossom. Will she in time, satisfy Tom’s desire to take their friendship a step further or will she reject the handsome caring soldier who she is falling deeply in love with?
