Moments in Time

They say ‘You live your life forward, but understand looking back ‘ Is it possible that God speaks to us every day, But perhaps we haven’t been listening or recognising how he speaks to us. Could it be that he he’s been speaking to you? Yes, in any one of the many individual moments of your life and perhaps hidden within those past moments there has been a message, from him, just for you. I’ve never heard God speak audibly, but having now retired I have had the luxury of being able to look back in my life and perceive that God had been speaking to me through my own personal circumstances and events, so I decided to write down in my own way what I thought these lessons were trying to teach me. The result of which hopefully will inspire you to look back at yours and recognise his voice too? I started to realise that many of my ‘Moments in time ‘contained lessons, messages and meanings, from the mundane to the sublime and that life is not just a string of random events and circumstances, and that more often than not our creator has been reaching out, yes, to mould, teach and guide, but more importantly to reveal himself as a very present living God. Looking back, I can now see that our past and present are like personal treasure, that has value and within its context, gives meaning, purpose and lessons to learn. Finally, I dedicate these pages to you who have a Christian faith… and then perhaps pass them on to those who just haven’t found theirs yet, and realise that life has been speaking to us all, .. if we will take the time and listen!
