About This Author

Born in 1957, from Scottish parents, he has lived in the North of England all his life. Gordon has had a few vocations, starting off as a Chef, a Policeman in the Durham Constabulary, after which he owned his own company for 16 years. He worked as fleet manager for both Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz, taking him to Germany and South Africa, now having retired after 13 years in business support which also had him networking in China. And to date has extensively travelled to over 25 countries enjoying the experiences travel affords as a means of fulfilling his love of cultures and meeting people. He has been married to Helen for over 47 years, and has shared all of life’s joys, heartaches, hopes and desires that modern day life throws at them. They have 2 sons Simon and Alex who they are immensely proud of and love the company of their 4 grandchildren Zac, Joshua, Jack and Lois. He was formally introduced to the reality of God at Secondary School, where once having a speech impediment, he could only find peace and the ability to speak in the Religious Knowledge class. After reading a Gideons Bible presented to him at 11 years old , he came to faith and accepted The Lord Jesus as his Saviour. Often authors state their credentials and list academic success and authority , but he writes as one who has not been to university, nor held pastoral positions , but has preached and supported his local church as a deacon, secretary , and House group leader, but more importantly , has just been an ordinary person who has recognized and obeyed the ‘nudges’ and ‘promptings’ and life lessons from the Holy Spirit and as a result Gordon has written and documented occasions how he believes God speaks to us in our every day occurrences called ‘Moments in Time.’ A Policeman’s evidence is crucial in all cases, and he believes he has found overwhelming evidence that God exists as he proves in the everyday occurrences of life, that he still heals, still comforts, still guides, and still saves.
