Murky Waters

Wulfbert of Dean is on the job when a foreign spy threatens the integrity of the abbey defences, and a rabid beast stalks the children of the town. While the abbot confers with the king's warrior daughter, Wulfbertie's suspicions are aroused. He embarks on a desperate night-time mission to save the princess. Nature also has a hand to play, as the Severn floodwaters engulf the gloomy crypt and its ancient relics. Wulfbertie confronts his own worst fears as he struggles to save the abbey.
