Return to Guernsey
I first visited Guernsey, Channel Islands in 1974 when I was nineteen, a chance holiday but a most memorable one. I’d always wanted to go back but the timing had never been right. I planned to take my sons when I got divorced aged forty but I got ill with M.E/C.F.S so that put paid to those plans. It was an impossible dream, but you can never say never. My eldest son said, ‘What about for your 70th?’ Could we? I’d never flown but always wanted to. I’d travelled by ferry when I was young but it was out of the question now, too long a journey, but I’d love to fly. After numerous obstacles we made it! Here’s how.
