The Road Taken
This is a largely autobiographical collection of poems, from the hand of a former missionary finding his way in India and later working in a range of ministries from Kent to Manchester. They speak of encounters with those of other faiths, and of certainties over Christ's sufferings and death. They touch on the ageing process and the hope of future resurrection. There is a good deal of humour along the way!
“…every piece comes over with verbal beauty and precision. There is so much to admire, whether in the amusing variant on Miss Joan Hunter Dunn, or observing the birds on the tit-feeder in his garden or (supremely) in the poem on the Word made Flesh.
I wish we could have more like this, much more………….."
