This is the third book in the trilogy about the Bradley family and their friends. Rosie Holland is 17, a streetwise urchin with a mixed-race baby and her flat mate is about to desert her. She is upset, short of money, and desperately lonely. And who is the strange man in the café who appears to be stalking her? When she hitchhikes to Brighton to try to find Paul Winter, her half-brother, Kate and George Bradley try to help her. However, nothing can be achieved until Paul and his wife, Helen, return from holiday. By then, she has inadvertently begun to set in motion a chain of events which will change several lives but especially her own.
