The apartheid South African state, desperate to cling to power decides it needs nuclear weapons. A renegade French shipping magnate determines to steal the Royal Navy's latest technical secret and once again the interests of West and East combine sending Lt Cmdr Chris Anderson and the KGB assassin known as Tchort back to working together to counter multiple threats.
