Profile: Stephen Morgan

About This Author

Stephen Henry Morgan was born in 1964 to Roland and Beryl in a south eastern valley of Wales. Where steal was king belching skies of red auguring its wealth, and coal mines were everywhere raised, as folk trolled deep delivering the black beast for carbon fires to roar. Living near the town of Blackwood he thrived in the countryside criss-crossed by abandoned railway lines, attending Pontllanfraith Comprehensive before moving to Crosskeys College. Stephen obtained a geology degree at Swansea University though due to the destruction of the mining industry this was not to be his bed. After treading a few jobs in London, he completed a PGCE at Cardiff University to cement a path ahead. Teaching first at New College Cardiff, a fine public school, he later moved into the state sector as head of geography at Brynmawr Comprehensive in the valleys he adores, for a long trawl which he gave his heart, it's love and essence still a part of him like Fenchurch is today. Stephen has two teenage daughters, Rachel Ffion and Catherine Eve, and though he is divorced the family unit is strong. After early retirement he currently marks exam papers for various boards and undertakes home tuition in a range of subjects to supplement funds, allowing his passion for writing to finally bloom. Fenchurch is Stephen's first novel set in a comprehensive system he knows so well, though he's now immersed in the second and third book of this series, meaning the saga goes ever on. Obsidan where there's a fantasy to dwell within, and Brendan's Felldy forest full of natures wonderments.
