About This Author

I grew up in Australia and liked riding my bike and riding the motorbike, and reading. When I was in my twenties I went snorkelling on The Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the whole world of sea life and very pretty colourful corals when I put my face in the water. Today when I watch nature documentaries I feel sad about the coral reefs around the world dying and bleaching, because the water temperatures are getting too warm. This is an effect of climate change. I feel committed to conservation and have a close connection to nature. I hope that my book inspires us to change the way we do things to help stop the effects of climate change. I was a primary teacher in both Australia and England. I loved reading books with lots of expressions in my classes. I live in the stunning Sussex countryside in England and my town is surrounded by woodlands. I have 2 cats, shy and timid Smitten and curious, crazy and very cute Kiki.
