About This Author

About the author May 2022 sees the publication of Judi's fifth book: 'Where the Gulls Cry', a volume of short fiction made since her move to Dorset in 2016. The stories are illustrated by the very talented Mat Cross and Em King. In December 2017 Judi published her second full length novel, 'Wonders will never cease', through FeedARead. Her novella 'Little Mouse', volume of short stories 'Ice Cold Passion' and novel 'Is death really necessary?' are also available from FeedAread. Judi was born and brought up in Cornwall, and faced the prospect of spending her working life in the chilly depths of local government with a sinking heart. She made her escape by sneaking off to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth as a mature student. From the fastnesses of west Wales she moved to the new town of Milton Keynes (no culture shock there, then …) and worked as a crisis manager for the Open University until 1997. That was lovely. But 17 years of troubleshooting the same old troubles is enough. What next? She took voluntary redundancy and started to write full time. In 2006 she returned to the Open University fold as a part-time Lecturer in Creative Writing, from which she retired in 2013. At the turn of 2016 she moved to the south coast of Britain. The sea has become both inspiration and balm for the soul. Judi’s poetry and short fiction has been published in anthologies and magazines over many years. She reviews indie fiction regularly for Big Al & Pals and a broader spectrum of writing on her own blog, which you can find at judimoore.wordpress.com
